TOP 5 DECOR ITEMS FROM DAISO (2).png

If you have been staring at your coffee table but have no idea how to dress it up during this lockdown. This week's video shows you 3 easy ways to use the following items you have in your home to style a coffee table. It is the easiest space to update without committing to large purchases and only takes a few minutes.

You will need:

-Tray or Coffee table books

- Vase with fresh/faux plants or flowers

- Coasters (or candles/diffusers)

- Trinket box (could be a pretty tissue box holder or a small bowl with your jewellery )

- Photo frames (or a cute cookie jar you like snacking on)

Use these 3 styling rules and you will have a professional looking styled coffee table in minutes!

Styling Tip 1: Mix different elements of textures and pattern. Do not use the same material and height. If you have a glass coffee table, avoid using a glass vase as the styling vignette will disappear into your table.

Styling Tip 2: Play around with groupings. Think one main focal point with a tray and then layer it up. Or do them in mini groupings of two or threes. Experiment with materials you have at hand as well. If you do not have a tray, use a book. If you do not have a book, use a box.

Styling Tip 3: Think in all directions when pairing decorative items for your coffee table. When placing objects, I look at them from side angles and from above to make sure they work at varying angles. Another thing that helps with this is sticking to an odd number of objects whenever possible. Groups of three, five, or seven typically work well and often feel more effortless.
