If you are too impatient to watch the video to know my top 5 favourite home decor items to buy from DAISO. I have done a summary of the video for you and how I have used them to style my clients home. They are usually surprised and super happy when I save them some money in getting these decor pieces to compliment their homes.

1. Bowl and plates (Japanese dinnerware section)

The organic shapes and texture of the dinnerware series feels expensive and I usually buy them in sets of two or three and place them on a kitchen shelfie. Avoid getting those that are in bright colours. The indigo ones are my second favourite colour palette to purchase too.

2. Fake flowers/plants

I will pick a single variety flower of at least 3-5 stems to create a lush bouquet. Avoid getting them in rainbow colours and in different varieties (this cheapens the look). Below is a faux hydrangea arrangement of 5 stems I did which is perfect for a vanity corner.

3. Pots and vases (garden section)

The pots and vase section is one of the first few shelves I check out every time I am at Daiso. I like to buy them in different shapes, sizes and texture for contrast and I prefer getting the white ones as they are easy to match. They can go with dried flowers, fresh ones and even look good on its own as a sculpture piece. A fun tip I realise is different Daiso outlets sells different pots and vases so happy hunting all your favourite ones out.

4. Canister Jars

Canister Jars are instant mood lifters in your pantry or on your kitchen countertop. They help you keep tab of what your food stock levels are and you can find your items easily. Avoid getting those with cartoons or weird illustrations on them. Clear jars are the best and you can easily add a label sticker to personalise them with a pen or marker.

5. Photo frames

The photo frames options are endless in the shopping rows and they often update it with different textures and materials. I recommend getting a good variety of 3-5 designs of different sizes. Have a fun time adding in your own pictures or even postcards you have collected in your travels. Best part they are so light, you can use 3M tape to stick it on your walls for flexible arrangement.I hope you found these decor tips useful. Do share with me what was your favourite decor item out of the five.
